Since 2002, the Smithfield Scholarship Program has been awarding educational scholarships to the children of our employees to further their education. Students like Sandi, whose father Vincente’s 15 years with Smithfield helped her through four years at Iowa State University as the first in her family ever to go to college.

Smithfield Foods has pledged $10 million over the next three years to build a stronger, more inclusive agricultural future by financially and technically supporting America’s minority farmers. This program ensures capital and confidence for folks like Aaron Blackmon, who’s taking over this family farm and taking it into the future.

Smithfield Foods’ long-standing commitment to scholarships and educational grants totals more than $8.1 million in the United States alone. Those donations go to funding programs like An Achievable Dream, which is leveling the playing field for children in low-income communities.
