Founded in 1865, Virginia Union University has the distinction of being one of the oldest historically black universities in the South. Its three schools include the Sydney Lewis School of Business; the School of Arts and Sciences, and the Evelyn Reid Syphax School of Education and Interdisciplinary Studies.
